- Lectures:
"Mobile Communication Systems" tackles the main features, elements and functions of mobile telecommunication systems, emphasis being laid on 3.5G, 4G and beyond systems. Fundamental concepts related to 3G and 4G mobile communication systems are presented with a focus on HSPA, LTE and future evolutions. For each, the architecture, services and specific applications are analysed.
- Applications:
Laboratory sessions are intended to familiarize students with some of the main features of mobile communication systems. The physical models used for the radio signal coverage prediction, modulation and spreading techniques used in UMTS / WCDMA and elementary procedures and protocols used in this system.
